Although I do understand those tedious games, I have had a few of them. Disappointing to see another RPC go away.

Um, I quit when they are lost! Last one was Hatty once Shaka invaded. I see no point continuing once the game and RPC flavor is lost. I will occasionalyl fight it out to the end such as Fred's Culture loss, Hammarabi's first loss, and of course the famous Gandhi "Fight the Zulu Currasairs with Fast Workers" game.

Hey, if it aint fun it's time to move on. Three days of this is enough.

Unfortunately, my vassals are not so smart. Nor are they able to break through those defense.

I am all for razing Darius capital, but once done the UN vote is dead even if I get him and Sala Capitulated fast. Zara is real close to a victory it's just a matter of time.

You're right. I think I am too attached to the RPCs, that's all.

Mad, please don't drop it. It's one of your last RPCs and might become the second loss in a row. Why don't you let Zara launch his spaceship while you have a huge stack just ready to raze his capital the turn after? A bunch of tanks will do the job, even if it's just to do that then let them get destroyed. I don't remember quite well, but you could nuke him hard and then you just wipe him off the earth with your huge stack of outdated units (Shaka style). By doing so, UN win gets kind of impossible, unless you convert you and your vassals to a religion different than his. What do you think?

And that's it - it's a shame this game got lost but I know what Mad means.

I've had one with Emperor Saladin a few weeks ago - and somehow I got stuck with 5 cities, lousy production and quasi non-existent research in 415 AD (epic). I don't even know what went so effing wrong to bring me in that situation. That wasn't fun anymore either.

Take a breather, Mad. Not too long, of course - I'm anxious to read about Lincolns worldruling wonder city

The problem is that both Darius and Zara have to have their capitals razed once the SpaceSHip is launched, which will be pretty soon. DeGaulles army has been desimated, and what I did have has been on the march. The home defenders are too weak to with-stand the inevitable counter attack, plus I need to ACQUIRE land for the Diplo win while watching my Vassals get taken (and they will be).

The game is simply unwinnable at this point, and by the time I get the Manhatten Project built I will be seeing another Persian or Ethiopian SpaceShip LAunched.

Look at it as a failed French Colonial Empire, so Degaule simply wants to stay at home now drinking wine and misdirecting teh UN with stupid resolution!

Actually Napolean's RPC turned out well, frightening well!

You're right Mad. Sorry for being bossy. I also abandon my unwinnable games, it's just that I like the RPCs a lot and would like to follow them a bit more.

This one was fine, got to be interesting and unique. It was the Happy Hatty one that was disappointing, quitting halfway through as soon as he was declared on and then not restarting.

I agree about this. Happy Hatty was a disappointement, but then again one of the more boring RPCs. Just not interested in a restart although she probably deserved one.
