however, only settle 1 if you want, we have to secure the uncivilized areas to the west before other civilizations do.

Iron is a vital resources needed to produce the armies needed to invade Egypt.

Don't forget we already have an Iron in Antium, but I say we settle your first suggestion immediately anyway. If we settle right there than we pretty ensure that any city Egypt settles there in the future will be a colony, and ultra rebellious. Than we can settle the rest at the speed we want. I also think that we should only settle 1 city for right now, because I don't want a repeat of last game when I over-expanded only to fall behind in tech and get dog-piled.

As of right now the only surplus resource we have are cows(which will be arriving in 4 turns when the pasture finished.) However if we settle in the spot mentioned earlier we will have extra gems and crabs.
