I have a copy of RTW Gold which is supposed to come with both vanilla RTW and BI already patched.
This seems to be only partly so. RTW is indeed patched and comes up as 1.5 after you install it. BI however is not patched and comes up as 1.4 and actually downgrades vanilla RTW from 1.5 to 1.3. Afterwards I have to apply the BI 1.6 patch to get BI to 1.6 and vanilla RTW back to 1.5.
The games seem to be fine but I'm wondering if there are any unforeseen consequences in patching in this matter? I know that apparently installing the 1.5 patch on any version lower than 1.3 messes things up royally so I hope there is no similar problems with going from 1.5 to 1.3 and back again.
