Ruff's Ozzie Game

Any progress? Jeez you Aussies give up easily...

I'll show you. I'll whip up an Ireland pack and show you just what getting lost in a pub, and then arrested after football matches winning a game and chasing foul tempered girls is all about! :p

played some more this morning - will report tomorrow :D

I expect that my dogs will want to be fed at 5:30 again tomorrow morning and as it is Turkey day ... I won't have anything else apart from reporting a civ game to do.

This set starts off very true (well, almost) to history ...

I keep on asking for peace with Kamie (Kamehameha is just too long for us Aussies and everyone knows that we have a track record of shortening everything ... biscuit becomes biccie, breakfast becomes breakie, John becomes Johno) but he keeps on turning me down.

My second city is settled ... good one Ruff ... no screenshot :crazyeye::wallbash::spank::suicide::hammer2:

Ouch! Anyway, I have a shot showing its location later on so that will have to do. It is called Broken Hill ... and perfectly matches the real place ... dry, hilly, no food and good for mining and that is about it.

Kamie's wandering archer runs into my one and only axe ... well, my axe runs into him. Stupid Aussie axe man that only carries a club dies. My warrior cleans up the mess ...

oz0019.jpg

Shortly after, Kamie sees the errors of his ways and gives me peace.

I tech writing and get OBs with England. I do manage to grab a snap shot while I am sailing past London ... what a future cesspool that city will be ... way too much food.

oz0020.jpg

On a civ front - both of my neighbours are protective ... how cruel is that!

I build The Great Wall but miss out on my fav wonder vid ... silly me turned them off. I turn them back on quick smart so that I can see the hinted-at Lemonese goodness to come.

oz0021.jpg

I stop as I complete Mathematics. In world news ... Judaism falls

First things first, Australia needs slavery ... how on earth are we to compete with tin pot nation or Glorious nation if we cannot kill our citizens quickly (and profitably) ... slavery revolt!

Now to whip some settlers out and exploit our Great Wall advantage - those puny barbarians cannot hurt my non-combat units :D

oz0023.jpg

I thought that BUG told you how many cities the other players had ... seems I need to update my scoreboard column listing ...

oz0025.jpg

The 'Q' adds the city count.

My exploring workboat ran into a bit of trouble ...

oz0026.jpg

... and, naturally, decided to run away ... sometimes you just cannot win :(

oz0027.jpg

And in keeping with the really big rock theme (rock in the ground, rock wall) ...

oz0028.jpg

England, oh England, land that we love asks us for the following trade ...

oz0029.jpg

Naturally, we fall over ourselves saying YES.

I also try the old true and trusted method of buying favour with TPN ...

oz0030.jpg

... with the old true and standard outcome ... a big fat nothing

Anyway, back to the game ...

I totally blame Her Lemon-ess for this ... if she didn't add that graphic into the game, I would still have my copper mine ...

oz0024.jpg

And at the end of the set ... here is Australia ... it sort of looks like Australia ... doesn't it?

well, if you ignore the land South of TinPotNation, then ... sure, it totally looks like Australia ... except for the ice in the North ... and the population centres in the West ... yep - totally looks like Australia.

Just be happy that I didn't add a "South Wind" graphic. :p

Sorry, I think I might have slayed Wills... It's just that I hate BOWS, I wanted to be a warrior... and i'm a BARBARIAN! Jeez, can you give us some piece? A piece of your nation?

Anyhow, good story so far!
