Hello,

A couple of things I've noticed.

A bombard with a range of 0 only ever appears to strike once no matter what Rate of Fire setting I use. Is this correct?

How does defence bonus of Walls work? Are the figures added together or is teh highest one taken? If so this make Civil Defence rubbish on cities over 6.

Is it possible to Helicopters on Aircraft Carriers? You can get Arnies on boats, one tranporting unit inside another. Sorry if this is an old one, I only started playing about with the rules recently.

Thanks

Walls and others are cumlative.

Don't know about choppers, never make them.

In PTW walls don't apply to cities over the size of 6, so civil defense is for cities 7 and higher. Walls just make the city defend as if it had 7+ pop, civil defense actually adds +50%, so even in a small city they would work together to make sure you got +100% defense.

So pop 7 adds +50%, pop 13 adds +50%, civil defense adds +50% for a total defense bonus of 150%. Walls don't work in cities over size 6 so if you have walls and civil defense you're bonus will either be 150% for a post hospital city or 100% for an under hospital city. Without the walls it can drop to 50% if you're pop is bombed or starved down below 7.

No helicopters on aircraft carriers unless something changed in Conquests.

Walls are the same in all three version of III. They have no effect if you are a city or metro.

Wow, I never knew this about walls. I always thought it was always a defense bonus, no matter the size of the city.

Unless I know I'll need them I never build walls on a river or lake city for this reason.

They can be useful in other small border cities though.
