This is a more specific version of another more general thread I posted here. Whenever I play multiplayer games via Pitboss with my friends, and I exit to the Main Menu or to the Desktop, I hear a steamboat sound (I'm using Windows 7)--and within game I can see nothing. If I window out, and click the Civ IV BTS icon, the error popup appears, saying:
"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
The application has requested Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."
This is a consistent error, and I hear the steamboat sound (which indicates something forbidden in Windows 7) *instantly* when I click the Exit button.
So here I am! I don't know what information I should post that would be relevant, but I'm using an NVIDIA GeForce 460, Windows 7 desktop computer, and the Civ IV BTS version is BUG mod 4.4 (the multiplayer game is also in BUG, all other players have it installed). Please let me know what to do!
