Sorry if this has been asked before but this is my first day on the forums.

Anyways, I was wondering, how do you sacrifice units (to boost culture) since all the enemy workers I catch are very useless and all I ever use them for is colonies, outposts and boosting population, since they are twice as slow as the normal worker (and since I love industrious civs its even worse) so sacrificing them seems like a good way to boost cities culture when I want to cultural convert opposing cities

To scarifice workers, take the enemy worker to any city and click on the Sacrifice button, near worker action buttons. Sacrificing workers can only be done in the Conquests scenarios, not in the epic game. But, you can make the change in the editor and play a game with the ability to sacrific workers.

Remember, captured workers cost no upkeep, so really you could look at everything they give you as bonus work. Instead of being twice as slow, they make one of your workers 50% faster. I, too, have a sick fascination with sacrificing them, though. Welcome to CFC by the way. (Yes! I've never gotten to say that)!

You pay upkeep based on your government type. A unit is a unit is a unit: workers, settlers, stealth fighters, doesn't matter. You can find out your limit on the F3 screen and how much you are paying on F1, or just look up the government info in the civilopedia.

can you sacrifice in normal game? I never seen the option for... (or is it only for the Age of Discovery conquest?)

No. but you can use the editor to have it in the normal game.

Its also in the Mesoamerica conquest.

You just have to make a city improvement in the editor and set it so you can sacrifice workers if you have it. If you still aren't sure how to do it, just look at the Sacrficial Altar improvement attributes from Mesoamerica conquest in the editor and see how it's done.

Edit Units:
- Select unit to Sacrifice (i.e. worker) Check the box under Special Actions
- Select unit to Enslave: Check the box under Special Actions.
- Select Enslave results in: (i.e. worker)
Edit Civilization Advance:
- Select Permits Sacrifices.

Also you can select a city improvement to double the amount of culture you get from a sacrifice.

You don't need any city improvements to sacrifice a unit.
