Safe Mode on Windows XP

I set my computer on safe mode(other one), and now I cannot log in to my account. I start up windows as normal and it says that it is in safe mode and then goes to the log in screen. When I log in, it goes black and says "safe mode on the edges", and a box pops up and asks to do a system restore, and I hit yes, but it doesn't do anything. What should I do?

No, no reason for a system restore, I just was hoping it would do something to get me out of safe mode. When I restart my computer it always restarts in safe mode. I don't know how to make it start in normal mode.
