Does anyone use them? I know they can be useful, but are they worth it... I have played a few games as the Malikim and they always go by the waste sides. I would have one suggestion, make them a permanent summons lower the str by 1 though and keep their special abilities. At the moment other ways of doing their jobs (seeing invisible units and being a weak summoned fighter) are done better by other spells and summons. IMHO :mischief:

And while I am at it, shouldn't the Malikim hunter have a lion companion instead of a wolf?

They were really only worthwhile under a summoner trait leader previously. The high movement meant you could raid deep into enemy lands with them, and the extra duration made it easy to get City Raider promotions picking off units in the field so that you could turn and take down fortified defenders next.

But even without the enhanced duration, if you get Spell Extension II you can still harrass your opponents from quite a fair distance out. Just need to keep one mage on Desert Forming Duty as you move your stack of doom toward the city, and by the time you get there you've already been smacking them for a couple of turns.

I tend to be a minimalist, so I would just get a mage with Maelstrom, Host of the Einherjar, and get better results without having to damage land via Desert spell. But that is just my opinion :) the only thing that makes them worth while is their ability to see invisible, but their duration makes for a bit of a micro management issue having to cast each turn.

Or just allow Adepts to summon them would also be a boon, but i would still nerf them by at least one strength point.
