Sorry if it was mentioned (and even explained already) before but don't have much time now to looks through forums.
What I'm saying and what I need:
I setup a game settings (chosing civs, map etc) - starting a game - don't like the starting position - going to start a new game - IN HERE I would like to be able to "load" my last used settings so I wouldn't have to chose everything again from a scratch...

This, so much this, I was able to change when I choose huge, it defaults to 20 players and max city states, other than that i couldn't change.

Go to your civ folder->Base->Assets->Configuration->Data->MapSizes.xml and there you can change the default values.

I'm not a proper modder so i can't give you a better solution right now.

Yeah I've changed values there already. Number of AI or CS is not a problem. Problem is chosing same 13civ ;) and world settings over and over again ;)

It will happen like in Civ5, after many DLCs and two expansions 2years after them there will be a patch and voila! it can be done and advanced settings are saved :)

That option will be in overpriced DLC.
No, that kind of change is patched in the base game.

At this moment they have not yet coded something allowing persistance of custom data outside a game, for themself or modders.
