Lux awoke with a start as something dripped down his forehead. Rubbing his eyes, he briefly wondered what had happened, but his memory was hampered by his annoyance he felt at whatever was leaking onto his face. The ACID suit responded to his thoughts, and the faceplate slid into position as he raised his arm. With a bang, the windscreen of the star fighter was blasted off. Water flowed into the ship as he stood up and looked outside. The ship was partially submerged in the ocean, so Lux rocketed out of the ship onto the nearest solid surface. He turned to look at the remains of the star fighter, which slipped below the surface surprisingly fast. Just before the on-board computer fizzled out, it cheerily reminded him via ACID communicator that he was about 7000 years off from his targeted destination.
"^Could have been worse...^" Lux mumbled in his harsh native language. "^I expected to be off by at least fifteen thousand.^"
Lux wondered what his next course of action would be. A small change would be enough to change the course of time and prevent the Heart of Chaos from being used. However, he was easily in position to change the future course of the Terran Empire. The right person at the right time could do a lot to change the universe, perhaps even for the better.
Amidst his thoughts, he couldn't help but notice a band of humans nearby, deep in conversation. Keeping his distance, he was easily able to eavesdrop on them.
"...wants us over there immediately. There's a good paycheck, and the other bosses are there to handle the heroes."
"I ain't going nowhere if that shark thing is with them."
"Dude, the Shark scares you? What about that Fear guy and his girlfriend? Hell, Fear even stood up to the Shark and lived."
"Both of you shut it. I don't care how scary you find the other guys, if Arianrhod wants you there, you're there, got it? You want to go out the same way as Tyrone?"
"Hell no. I like my head where it is, thanks."
"Good, then move it. We have to be there in five minutes, tops."
Lux watched the goons leave quickly. Well, if he wanted to get a jump on changing the past, there was no better place to start than at the bottom. Firing up the thrusters, he tailed the thugs to their destination.
"^Hmm, wonder how good my English is...^" Lux wondered. "Hello human, I am named Lux Oeotheti. It is nice to...obviate you. ^Yes, that sounds right...^"
OOC: This is just for fun, and to justify my villain showing up out of nowhere for the next mission.
