SCENARIO: Age of Imperialism; 1895-1924, Deluxe Version 2016-10-05

RedWallFortress,
iirc, Kly is right about the Sverige class. i mean, i do recall adding some teeth into the Scandinavian navy :)

Sorry El Justo.
I double checked and Scandinavia do not get  :( the Sverige, or any other kind on Battleship. Maybe you accidentally forgot to put it in.

Probably reported already but there is a problem with the Spanish cavalry.

Playing as Germans on Monarch. Obvisouly too low a level as the AI does not seem to really know what to do with the raw materials. It is quite difficult for the Germans to bring them home but the only ones who are ahead of me in VPs are the Spanish !!! probably because the colonies are easier to reach.
British troops especially spend a lot of time wandering with raw materials attached. Too bad as it seemed very good to simulate the naval warfare and the sea lanes to the colonies.

The AI don't use artillery, whereas in TCW they really do it !

On the positive side, the AI are very good at blockading straits (Skagerrag, Panama, Gibraltar, or even Hamburg which is often blockaded :( !).

Will continue reporting. Otherwise quite fun game !

Yep, reported to death... ;)

Sure? I could swear I've seen them using it. In my current game as Germany I haven't really suffered (yet) an offensive attack with artillery, but they sure keep lots fortified.

They don't use artillery in this. And they barely use itin TcW. It's all the damn civ3 ai.

I'd be screwed if the ai knew the full value of artillery.
Before I put the disk in the pc I thank the ai Gods for making it so.....

Regardless my game as France has slowed down a little (for France anyway)
Every time I try to rest and build up to go after something, some ai declares
war against some other ai (I can't keep track) so I feel compelled to get involved so I get something or one ai does not get too much...

Russia has Scandanavia but Austria/Germany has much of European Russia.
Germany has nothing in Africa, Africa is all Brit/French with a few Dutch/Portugese colonies. America has done nothing.

As France, I could maybe win with the status quo.
I know that Britain is the threat as far as victory points go,
but as continental power I am not sure who the real enemy is....

Ok. so the load error that I previously had (ww1 british indian infantry death) appeared to be gone - it would let me pick a nation and all, but it then started happening again AFTER I choose who I am going to be. Can anyone whose game works zip their British WW1 Indian Infantry file and send it to me? Thanks!

When I go to extract the files I can't find the civ III folder, do I have to make it myself or something? (and I looked in all the places I could)

Civ 3 folder should be on the hard drive (probably C) and under Atari:

Path for most will be:

C:\Program files\Atari\Civilization III\Conquests\Scenarios

I can't find hard drive or program files. It when I first click on extract files it asks me where I want to extract them to and gives me choices like my computer, my documents etc.

Okay, I found the scenarios folder, and opened it, but do I just save it in the general folder, or do I have to have a folder for the entire scenario?

(for example I have a WW2 folder created for another mod I was trying to play (unsuccessfully lol), should I also a folder saying Age of Imperialism?)

Put the folder in the path I indicate. The biq should be in the Scenarios folder. (The scenario folder should show a folder with AoI and the AoI biq).

You can start the game from the civ content button on the front screen of Civ 3.

I actually have a french piece of artillery unit moving towards one of my colonies, who said the ai never uses them? :)

Path I took, my computer-local disk-program files-Atari-civ3 complete-scenarios

Now when I go to Scenarios there's a folder named AOI
http://forums.civfanatics.com/uploads/97943/help.JPG
(I also loaded the map and saved it there to try and get it to work)

This is whats in the AOI folder

I can find the game on the 'civ content' thing, but I think its only the map that I loaded up and saved, it doesn't find any of the animations and other stuff I need to play. How do I get that folder to appear on the civ content? Also, am I missing anything in the folder?

El Justo,
I found another problem. There are no places where one can u/g land units in Canada and Australia. I tried to u/g horse arty to QF 13 pd. and couldn't although this was no problem in e.g. Africa in cities that had Colonial Barracks. Something should be done about this. Either make one or more preplaced wonders in Can/ANZAC able to u/g land units or make a new improvement like Col. Barracks.

Your problem is in your first sentence. You want to go Atari/Civ3 Complete/CONQUESTS/Scenarios

I'm still having problems, saved everything into the Scenarios folder and what 've got is two seperate AOI folders, one saying AOI v3.031 civs, and the other saying AOI.

I'm not sure which files I was supposed to download on the first page, am I just supposed to download the attached file, or the first one thats mentioned (that links to another site) or the one in the next post? Also, when I'm saving it to Scenarios, do I just click on the conquests-> scenarios folder and save it, or is there supposed to be a main folder for the entire scenario? Also, I don't have the biq (I think) file on its own in the scenario thing, its in the AOI v3.031 civs folder, is this right?

Sorry, but I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing!

Okay, I finally got the game running, and it loaded up fine, but when I tried building a spanish cavalry unit, it gave me that 'file not found game will now exit' message. I got it working by copying and pasting the biq file btw, if that has anything to do with it. I'm going to try playing again and see what happens, sometimes it messes up like that.

Okay, I had a chance to play through some of it (about 30 turns) and so far its very fun:) I had to avoid doing anything with the Spanish cavalry unit though, like I said before it gives me the missing file error when I try building it.

Right now I'm building up for an attack on Portugal, then I think I'll go secure some of my colonies (very fun game!). How does the unit point scoring work though? (ie how many points do you get for killing a unit?)

thanks jimmy  i'll make a note of it.

Sanctum,
DL this file, unzip it, and dump its contents into the following directory on your PC:

Civilization III/Conquests/Scenarios/AoI/Art/Units

overwrite all files, too :)

this should cure the problem you're having w/ the Spanish Cav unit (and 2 others as well). and you'll be able to start right where you had left off. so don't worry about having to start over b/c you won't have to!

Maybe you should edit the main download page with that file and avoid all the comments about those particular problems... :)

Btw, is there an updated version of the scenario within sight?
