Scenario Compatibility

I am sure this is an easy one (my apologies as I am a rookie) - are all of the scenarios found on this site compatible with CIV III and Conquests?

Does one just install the scenarios into the SCENARIO folder?

Depends. Vanilla Civ3 uses .bic. PTW uses .bix. C3C uses .biq.

PTW can run Vanilla CIv3 scenarios, and C3C can run PTW and Vanilla Civ3 scenarios.

By the way, where can I go on this site to learn some basics - like how to install new maps? new graphics? etc. I see all the maps, etc. available, but I always seem to miss the basic "How to..." stuff.
