Scenario Installation for MGE

There are some scenarios that have a readme file with the explanation how to install them, for example "meditera" (one famous scenario about Roman Empire).

In the readme file, it is explained that before to start the scenario you must run a setup file and choose which scenario you want to play, also during the scenario's gameplay you will receive pop-up asking to run a setup.bat file to change events.

I tried to run the setup file, but the msdos window that is supposed to appear, does not, I see it opening and closing very fast not giving me the possibility to choose the options.

Any idea?

Hi Kaiser0985,

That's probably because the bat file from the "Wars of the Mediterranean v2.31" scenario was designed, at that time, to run on 32 bit machines and therefore is incompatible to run on 64 bit machines. I've updated the attached bat file from the scenario folder to make it compatible with modern machines and if you simply upload it to your scenario and try to run it again it should work correctly now (simply change the extension from .txt to .bat).

The scenario is also using an old delevent.exe file that only works with 32 bit computers. You should be able to find a newer version of the exe in the following thread:
