Would it be possible to make the new scenarios work into "normal' mode. Let me explain: I wish I could build zeppelins and all the steampunk stuff while playing Spain or America for example. Or build Orthodoxy and Protestantism while playing random game.

I mean we have a lot of cool new stuff with the expansion would it be hard to create a mod or two by copying or modding the base content without creating any new stuff ?

Yes this is possible. (I'll be making a scenario for the game using the Into the Renaissance map)

You have to create a new mod and open up their XMLs and change what's needed (for the Steampunk scenario, you have to remove the delete tags on the civilizations you want to include.

Keep in mind, however, this is more work than you may assume. Each civilizations that is being added must also be stripped of its unique assets (units and buildings), or else they'll be built by the AI and not fit in with the steampunk theme. You'll be tasked with the challenge of rebalancing the game for 32 or however many civs there are in the game right now.

Not to mention, the scenario replaces five civilizations from the base game with new leaders, buildings, and cities. Those civilizations will be unplayable in the steampunk scenario unless you overwrite these changes.

Looking back, it might be easier to simply make your own mod than to change an existing one.

Thanks for reply , I'm not really used with Xmls and modding stuff (even if I read the tutorials and i'm pretty motivated) The thing is I love the new steampunks units and buildings . Let's imagine I Chose to put Theodora wich trait is based on religion in my mod , how will It work ?
I guess I will have to change his trait ; so maybe all alone it's impossible to create such a big mod : change traits, add basic civ, ect ... . Maybe there is a way to put only the new units and building without changing anything else?

If you're not used to modding and modifying XMLs don't even attempt this, you will fail miserably. (sorry just saying)

And you're better off asking in the Creation and Customization forum (which I'll report for this to be moved to) since that's where you want to be for this sort of thing.

I'm not going into specifics here, the process is the same for every thing you need to change (civilization, units, etc.) but you have to know what you're doing.

Adding the steampunk units into the base game is much easier than adding the base civilizations into the steampunk mod. I would recommend doing that instead.
