Just pulling your leg... (pun totally intended)
The (anti-)hero of a late 70s Japanese Manga about mercenary jet fighter pilots, the anime version of which I watched as a kid in the late 80s early 90s.
Ah, Erika, with an army of wheeled things, flying thingies, and drunk hooligans commanded by cat girl officers driving around in station wagons, world domination is assured...
BTW, is one of these "wheeled thingies" a South African Casspir, or dangerously close in appearance to one, perchance? There's a resemblance to several of them and the Wikipedia pictures...
I remember back in the '80's itself (from when I was younger), the tail end of the Cold War period, they liked to use the term "state-of-the-art Space Age technology" a lot...
Had this gathering dust on the hard drive since 2011; touched it up today. He's a character from a hobby cartoon I started ages ago. I've reused him in a collaborative comic here on the A&E forum (CurtSibling knows what I'm talking about ), and since it's a universal law that sooner or later I'll make a mod based on that project in every game I ever play, inevitably I'd be working with Civ2. The scenario itself won't air until it's no longer full of spoilers for the story-in-progress and is also finished, but I'm really proud of how this turned out and have been dying to share it beyond my inner circle.
This is the closest I've come to creating a unit from scratch (and am not ashamed to share it). I used one of Curt's units as a base for the pose, then did the costume by hand. For ToT the sprite should be flipped, but just my luck I'd designed the uniform with all the details on the 'bad' side.
