As you will not from my other thread I managed to get Mandriva Discovery/Lx installed on my computer and all seems to be working well. The best screen resolution that I can achieve is 800x600 though. My video card is an Nvida Geforce PCX 5300, I downloaded a driver from the Nvidia site but at this time do not know how to install it, or if it will help. Is this something that I will just have to live with or can I increase my resolution, no other option is even available to me when I try to configure the display with the "screen size" option.

For future reference, LinuxQuestions.org is a great place for these kinds of questions. They have a good Newbie Forum, as well as many distro-specific forums, e.g., Mandriva. (I don't post as much there as here, but redazz and Lakota are a couple of knowledgeable Mandriva folks there.
