Screen Resolution

Do any of you know if Civ3 can run at 800x600 resolution?

I've been playing Civ3 for a while and just upgraded my system. I'm using a NVIDIA Gforce 2 64meg card, but my monitor is an old Compaq SVGA that will only run at 50/60hz, and the video card only supports 60hz+ I can run 800x600 fine, but 1024x768 won't run at 60hz. Before I upgraded I had a Diamond Speadstar 8meg card that ran fine at 1024x768. I tried using that card again, but XP doesn't support the drivers and I couldn't find any XP drivers for my card.

I wan't to keep playing Civ, but am too poor to go out and buy a new monitor :-( any ideas?

Civ3 runs at 1024x768 *minimum*.

Sorry, but I don't know any way to help you play on 800x600.

I have the minimun resolution required and much more! I have XP, but I still can't get the game to fit on my screen. I have a 17" flatscreen ViewSonic VA720. Please help.
