How do I take screen shots of the game on my Mac? I have a Powerbook, it doesn't have a Print Screen key, and the regular finder methods for screenshots don't work either.

regular finder methods?
As far as I know the key combo [cmd]-[shift]-[#3] is system wide. (not specific to the finder) but I'll admit I haven't made a screen-shot in civ4 yet.
Command-shift-3 works with Civ4. It puts a file on the desktop. Other variants:
Use command-shift-4 to grab a selected rectangle and put it in a desktop file
Hold control down with either of the above to put the screenshot on the clipboard instead of in a file. You can then paste it straight into a painting program for editing/cropping/annotating etc. I use Photoshop Elements and its "New from Clipboard" file menu option.
I run in Window mode, though. Dunno if all the above applies to full screen mode.
I tried and couldn't get the Command-Shift-4 to work when running full-screen. And when I tried it in a window I ended up with just the basic land, no units and no trees. I think whether that works depends on your video card. I think AlanH has an Nvidia card, I was trying it on an ATI.
I recall I did have trouble with command shift 4 only grabbing the lower layers of the display in the early days. I suspect it may have been on an earlier version of Civ4, but possibly on my old G4 with Geforce 4MX.
But command-shift-3 and the control option always worked.
I prefer the control option to put the screenshot on the clipboard, as I always want to prune the screenie anyway, and usually want to save it in a format other than .png. And I don't like having lots of screenshot files to clear off my desktop.
I just tried it (I run the game full screen), and shift+cmd+3 does not work on my PowerBook G4 w/128 MB Radeon. Maybe I have to switch out of full screen first?
It doesn't work here in full screen either. Looks as though you have to run in window mode.
[Note that cmd-shift-3 actually *does* do something for me in full screen mode, as I have Snapz Pro X installed, and that's the default hot key for bringing it up. If I hit it and then cmd-H to hide Civ4, Snapz Pro X shows its options screen, overlaying the Civ4 display, and I can choose to take a screenshot or screen video using it.]
if you have an ISO keyboard (PC), the usual print screen key (F13) works in warlord. the screenshot is put in a special folder with the saves.
It should work on vanilla too, but produce garbage.
Note that this method, while allowing to take a shot during an animation, will capture only main window. negociation screens or various advisors wont show.
for the latters, i use capture (playing in a window).
