I'm really interested in trying out Mass Effect, but I can't find a copy of the first game for the PS3, and I really want to start from the beginning. :p

My first 'successful' moon landing in KSP demo version, using the pre-built Mun Rocket from the NovaPunch parts pack.

But, erm. We have a problem:

While we figure out what to do next, we enjoy sunrise on the Mun.

Hmm, lets hope this works...

Success!! Managed to blast off from the Mun in one piece. However, I then fumbled the time controls and missed my burn back to Kerbin. I had to burn a whole load of fuel to avoid crashing back into the Mun. After another slingshot and a wild trajectory, it was touch and go whether I could get back into Kerbin's atmosphere or get stuck in polar orbit.

With the last remaining fuel, I just managed to get a trajectory into the atmosphere. However I had accidentally deployed the parachute at high altitude while still travelling at 1km/sec... Would it hold??

Boom! That was a hard splashdown. Nobody looks very happy, but at least these Kerbals live to see their families again. The chopper is on the way, guys! Heroes!!

Love it. Methinks I'm going to purchase the full game (after updating NESLifeV...)

Just finished a playthrough of Fallout: New Vegas as a character that wasn't so much evil as just kind of a jerk.

I'm really interested in trying out Mass Effect, but I can't find a copy of the first game for the PS3, and I really want to start from the beginning. :p
The first game, being a Microsoft project, was never ported to the PS3. It only exists for Xbox 360 and PC.

The version of the second game that was ported to the PS3 comes with a downloadable (free) segment that permits the player to make some of the more important decisions from the first game and import them into the second, but a lot of the more minor quests and decisions, some of which also import, don't show up. Some of these have somewhat meaningful consequences (Conrad Verner), and some of them are almost irrelevant (the Matriarch Dilinaga collection quest), but they are something you don't get to experience the way you would on PC or 360.

Fair enough. I'm hesitant to get it for the PC, as the game has some, er, raunchy moments in it, and my parents tend to be nearby whenever I play a game. :p

Without having anything graphic, there is some implied sex, alien dry humping, straddling "sexiness" and whatnot. While none of this even gets close to anything pornographic, I can imagine it could potentially be awkward to watch it with your dad. You know that feeling, when you're sitting on the couch with your parent and some movie is playing and they start having sex in it. Your attempts to deny the existence of the awkwardness will be duly ignored.

The scenes are very short though, and kind of obvious when they are going to happen (for the most part anyway). At worst, it will be far less than what you have seen on TV (probably with your parents). At best, you save the game before hand and wait until later if your parents are that afraid of implied sex.

It's not that my parents would be bothered by that, it's that I would be bothered if I was watching something like that with them around. I'm certain they would be okay with it if I explained beforehand.
