Seafaring PBEM

Actually, so is mine, I just accepted it as a "Fact of Life" for typical archipelagos. BTW, Lou, what was the water ratio?

My start is dry, but not unplayable. It will just take a long time to get anything really going. But if everybody is like that, it will work out I guess.

80 % water on a 100 X 100 map (+ some modifs by Steph so there might be 77-78% water in total.

Why ? Something strange happened ?

OK. As long as we are all in the same "Boat"!
Please excuse the horrible pun!
No more bellyaching about it from me then. As long as Curraghs can carry one unit, then I won't be stuck on a two city island until Mapmaking is discovered sometime around 500 AD! :p

Sorry to be late, played and sent on to RJ.

Received & sent. Sorry if this was a little delayed, I had to attend graduation functions.

On to RJ for the end of 3750 BC. BTW, the only other advantage that lowly Portugal would usually have (popping goodie huts) is now defunct. My little island has four mountains and no goodie huts. Looks like I will have to search elsewhere for those freebies. :(

@ LouLong: It is my experience in several games that the Portuguese are the best expansionist civ there is. For some odd reason, in the games I have played them, or when a friend of mine has played them, they found more goody huts and get more techs and free settlers than any other expansionist civ I have played. I know it must be a fluke, but that has been my experience. And for you to get them with no goody huts on your island, the only thing I can say is

edit: All I can say to myself is  I meant to say rcoutme, but when I saw LouLong's post his name popped into my head so that is the name I posted.

Dogboy, Lou has Spain, I have Portugal! So Pllltttttsssss!!!
