Glorious Viking troops have "liberated oppressed Portuguese people." Frigates heavily bombarded the city first. Then, 8 zerks have attacked Lisbon killing 8 defenders and the city was captured. Portugal is no more.

Also, Pivateer's lobby in the Supreme Council of the Viking Kingdom demanded retribution against England. So the King had declared war against England but no action is taken, just need to please the pirates.

Turn 390AD sent to Amsterdam. Spain was fighting to the last man but eventually had been eliminated. This leaves the game with only 3 players.

The game is moving fast with only 2 players left. We are already at 560AD. The Netherlands have researched into Industrial Age and the war have started. While Dutch focused on decimating Scandinavian navy, Vikings chose to capture cities and have already seized control over 7 towns during the first 2 turns of war. The main question is whether Dutch navy is going to stop the rampage of berserks or they would plunder even more goodies while continuing their conquest... We will know soon.

Turn 580AD moving along. Dutch forces put up a great resistance and fight to the last man both on sea and on land. But the Vikings are closing in.

Yep, congrats, not much we could do it seems, especially I, considering my poor territory. I needed the GL and got it but even that and a stong and reliable alliance did not prevent my going under.
Obviously for these settings the bersekers were really too good, especially once you had the proper navy !
Strange but I don't feel ashamed losing to you
