This is the widely popular game from TechTV's Unscrewed with Martin Sargent. Props to TechTV. There are two versions of the game.
Original Rules:
1. There are no rules.
2. Actually, there are several rules.
3. Up to three contestants, the first three people to respond with an answer are the three contestants.
4. The Searchmaster chooses a number between 1 and 200,000,000.
5. The contestants must choose a Google search query that will generate a total number of results closest to the Searchmaster's number.
6. The contestant whose total is closest to the Searchmaster's number is the winner. The winner becomes the new Searchmaster, the new Searchmaster may decide what type of game they want to start, or invent their own.
Variant Rules:
1. The Searchmaster chooses three similar sounding words.
2. The contestant must pick out the word that they think will generate the most results.
3. The contestant who picks out the correct word wins. The winner becomes the new Searchmaster.
