Night of the Werewolves XII - The Madness of the Calabim Court
The balance of a Calabim court is a fragile one, numerous ancient blood feuds being kept in check by constantly shifting alliances and a balance of fear. Even as the overcrowded masses of slaves struggle for their daily survival in the city below, their inhuman lords and ladies are engaged in a struggle of their own - one of power and dominance, one of diplomacy and one of backstabbing. Each of the city's rulers is old beyond comprehension, and more powerful than any bare mortal could begin to understand.
Then one night, when the moon is full on the sky, one of the noble families making up the court begins their experiments intended to make them even stronger. To receive the power of the werewolves, mighty enough to tear apart anyone getting in their way.
Yet they are careless, and their plan is soon found out. When it is revealed, all the members of the family are sought out and slain, every part of their holdings burnt to the ground. All of their slaves are killed as well, burnt alive in the same fires that destroy the family holdings. The werewolf curse is too powerful, too unpredictable, to be allowed to anyone. It must be extinguished.
But it is too late. Even in the midst of all the destruction, a couple of other court members receive the curse themselves. It does not take long for this to become apparent - and when it does, the different factions of the court are just as likely to use the nightly lynchings to destroy their enemies than to get rid of the wolves.
Get ready for it... whenever it is that NotWs VIII - XI have finished.
