Settings won't get saved...

A while ago I had a problem with saving games, the thread is around here somewhere. Well recently I've purchsed a new version of Civ complete, and re-installed from the old version I had. Back then, I couldn't save games nor settings, but after I changed the save folder I could save games on my own (but the game still won't autosave).

Now I still can't save settings. Every time I close the game (even for loading a mod) I have to reapply all the settings. The only thing it does save is my profile name...

This only happenes on BTS, mind you, warlords and vanilla version both save everything perfectly....

is the my games folder write protected?

If you mean "read only" it was, I changed it to no avail...

make sure the BtS subdirectory is also not set to read only.
