I would be motivated to new CIV challenges, but I have found during the later stages of this game that I really need a new computer to run a full CIV game. The lag is, um, noticeable . But until I upgrade, I won't let it stop me from playing 10+ turns in SGOTMs every now and then!

@markh: Thanks a lot, and congratulations on an outstanding performance!

Looking over the Geezers end game, I noticed they let HC survive. I wonder if taking him out distracted us? However, the turn difference in our two games was likely made earlier.

Indeed, thanks a lot AlanH and Gyathaar! I think this game was an excellent first SGOTM, introducing new players to the concept in a nice, incremental way. I enjoyed it all the way (at least once I had gotten the game myself and could follow the discussion ).
