Edit: 2 teams have succeeded, several (including us!) have failed, looks like three teams still playing.
If only two teams succeed (unlikely) how would bronze be decided?
Ok, it seems that being able to move to the other continent via galleys was a big advantage. Wonder how we missed that. Oh well, we tried. Although I state that we would have met success if Gandhi just had taken his thumb out from his
butt a little, like 800 years, earlier.
we couldn't get to the other continent via galleys...I think it required a culture bridge that didn't show up in all games.
As for bronze...in the C3C version of this SGOTM, the medals were awarded by who got Gandhi to build the Apollo Program earliest...that may be the criteria for 3rd place this time.
I'm pleased that you were able to finish this one off for us Pigswill.
Thanks for the game guys ... obviously disappointed with the result albeit we knew it was a pretty likely outcome in the last 50-ish turns. In a strange way I'm pleasantly surprised Gandhi got reasonably close to Space nonetheless.
Well guys, it's been very fun. Despite the unfavorable outcome, I have learned a lot from my first ever SG here and had a great time doing it. I really appreciate you guys bringing a "newbie" like myself along for the ride and I wish you luck in SGOTM05!
