SGOTM 08 - Trash Team

Back home for now, but not for long.
Another international mission before month's end.
I'll be on line from time to time, but if it's like the last one (80 hour weeks) then I'll be unable to play for some time.

Army to last continetal Shaka city, 4 turns. Rase it or maybe keep it, i'll decided at the time. Move remaining army to take and keep Samaritan. Need to block Joao, we are only just equal in land size, there is another AI with double our land, if you believe the demographics screen.

Undi will need to have some forest chopped when marble is connected in 2 turns, i will chop as much as possible till completion. it will become unhappy next turn, will queue up Nat Epic if GL completes.

Holy Boot camp will build axes and settlers so we can expand. No other city will complete it's build in my turnset.

I will try to trade with Joao after Alph, i will take peace with Shaka once his contintal city is taken. Planning to play tonight.
 
Raze the southern city of shaka. Island city depends on location.

In general most cities need some growth. I see quite a number of unworked food tiles. After war they can support more pop and they can be whipped to great effect:

Holy boot camp should work the pig to grow to size 9 (after war it can support it).
Cottage city needs a workboat and grow to size 10 for after the war.
Ulundi needs a WB and growth for big whip at the end. Also more workers need to assist the chopping of the GLib.
Triple food need to work the Rice for growth.

In general we need to get optics for exploration and finalizing the grand strategy. Then we need to build a monster army on boats to take over the world.

So much from my side.

Edit: One more thing, only three temples have been built (Judaist, Hindu and our confucian) We potentially need 4 Great Prohets to built easy wonders after we conquer a holy capital. Lets assign some priests in Holy Bootcamp to start gathering more GPP points.
 
Bad news first we lost building a wonder by 1 turn.

As per the plan our army headed south to raise shakas 2nd last city, he whipped an Impi, this lead to us losing a Sword. City was raised as per instruction. Was very tempted to keep it, i guess we will rebuild 1W of the location? Army then moved on to Samartin, 3 Archers. Lost 2 paults and a Sword at long odds. City was kept and a Ganary queued.

Workers chopped the GL out in Undi, massive bonus due to marble. Same turn we completed GLib we missed Shwady Pal, the deficit research allowed us to complete Alpha, Monarchy and have 6 turns to Civil Ser, with a good bit of gold left over. Slider needs attention once CS is in. Joao woud have traded Asth +15 gold for Mona, i though this was a bad deal and passed, i had part research Mona and had 2 turns out of 3 remaining so continued and self researched.

Settler is 1 turn from the northern planned city, elephant and axe are enroute. 2 settlers are being built, Boot camp and Ranch. Trash house has one about to start, 0 hammers invested. Cottage is working max cottages and has a courthouse queued.

Civics have not been changed, but Hed Rul is available, might be an idea to change to Hed Rule and Caste, we can max out Scientists in Undi.
Undi has just whipped a Temple, the overflow will complete a workboat. 2 workers are ready to chop 2 forests to complete the Nat Epic - 6 turns left after the overflow from the GLib. Little bit of queue swapping to maxise the marble bonus.

Still at war with Shaka, he has been removed from Trash contient, maybe fire up some galleys or take peace.

We need i think to beeline Lib, with HR and Caste we have a chance to win the race. If not then Optics may be our best path.

Edit: Joao has been active in his scouting his units are prowling around our lands - might be an idea to scout his lands for SOD.

Swopping to HR is also a good idea because its Jo's fave civic and he's running it already. May as well kill off Shaka.

To keep momentum, perhaps we should speed things up a little. When you are up post a brief plan and play the next day. Plan could be as brief as:
-continue tech towards liberalism
-Finish off Shaka, and befriend Joao.

Then others can add to it and you take whatever comments into account when playing.

We've got a bit of WW creeping in, but if we take peace and re-declare then Jo will be unhappy with us. Continue the war, keep spamming settlers and trash the economy through over-expansion then catch up later. Quick revolt to HR might help. Because we're city spamming I'd rather keep in slavery to get them started.

Research up to 30% :D. Paper due in 12 turns. GP from Ulundi due in 5 (95% GS, 5% GA so we're guaranteed a GA). If by some miracle we get a GS he/she should hopefully bulb philosophy.

got it.. will have a look see today and come up with a PPP later today/tomorrow. Not too messy pigswill, still got the job done giving Shaka his final goodbye. With currency in, some markets are needed. Started expanding vertically while finish filling out the empty land. Economy does need work.
 
question about the settler between Tras Ranch & Sarmatian(will rename it to Ranch Cow?) where should he go? I know where the other 2 settlers are going, also, why not keep the barb city to get the whale? my thoughts were to just finish the builds in cities that are queued up, cities with granaries get courthouses next(city maintenance is bad!) CC should whip market. Should GG be settled in Boot Camp?
