Only thing to add is that presence of both workers on our defensive position means that we can get a road built and be able to move units quickly after initial battle (almost surely we'll have to attack). With this mobility available, look for opportunity to delay finishing off a last severely weakened unit in Asoka's stack so that one of our most highly promoted units can attack a second time the following turn and gain more experience.
 
We have our culture bridge and can now go to 100% research, CS in 3-turns. Bulb Machinery and we can attack with Maces, WE's and Cats. :hammer: Here I have to disagree and rather agree with what Htadus said earlier. Get some gold with trades and research Music with 100% science for a GArtist and then plan using it for a GA to get some GSci for bulbs. Music is also needed for MT and it should be a good trade bait for Compass and Paper. We need at least 2 GSci, one for Edu and another for Lib. If we can get more of them fast, we could use second Edu bulb and/or one for Paper just to speed things up (not very ideal use of them but should make things faster a bit). Or if we want to save our further GSci for time after Lib-bulb, they will bulb Printing Press, Optics (should be able to get this in trade) and finally Astro. GE should be saved for later to a point where we have put one GSci bulb to Liberalism. After that we can bulb Machinery with our GE.

edit - Aztec will give us WM plus 165 Gold for Lit. :) Goody! Will need all the cash we can get.

Will keep this in mind. Those two workers can either road the forest or go and pasture the sheep (can bring that settler+missionary combo near Philly to the forest this turn and settle copper city on next turn) depending on the situation after some sword-clashing. Then there are 3 more workers on Philly-sheep to come and aid in getting that copper city up fast.

Regarding the fight, thought to promote at least one axe (can't remember the current situation regarding promos) with +25% melee on this turn just in case Asoka decides to attack. Will promote our barrage-cat with Barrage2 and use it as the first attacker if Asoka doesn't attack. Need to check also for other promos available.

If we know that we can get The Wizard of Oz through cultural expansion of the redoubt city, doesn't that end the need for Paratroopers? And if this is true, should not our priorities switch from quick Education and Oxford, with all the hammers that will be needed for Universities, and change that priority to building units and taking the world?

If we know we can get Oz, then fast domination and killing Oz are all we need do, no?
 
May not need libraries and Oxford, but surley want Astro for fast Dom'n, and now quickest way is probably to bulb Education, then use Liberalism to get Astro.

Concur that the GA from Music is worth the research cost, given its potential trade value and the route to MT.

The truth is we still do not know enough to make any kind of final decision. So we should keep all options open. That means good science progress.

I recommend that we tech music, CS and nationalism and plan to liberate MT with bulbs. Once the UofS is built by our friends, we can trade for Paper & and bulb Edu, Lib and Machinary. That is 3 GS and a GE.

Next we can tech GPpwder while 3 more GS's bulb PP, learn, builb or trade our way to Astro (2GS will do nicely). That way we can have both brains and braun. This is why I wanted to keep the Cities large to get the needed GS's asap. At 12gpp per scientist this would not be a big problem during GA(8 turns). We could have been back in slavery and police state to whip curriarses. or what ever they are called. We might still be able to do something very close to it.

Perhaps a timeline with tech order and GP needs?
Would hate to see it get flamboozled by one of us (probably me :blush: ) bulbing techs in the wrong order or something similar? :crazyeye:

As CP said, Astro is good for fast Domination here and that's why we want it. Getting it with Lib would be the fastest way but as we will keep generating more GSci quite fast (with NE + GLib in NK) and cuirassiers aren't that far away, it's probably better to save Lib for MT and bulb Astro with a GSci or two a bit later.

Should we plan starting some war with mainly cats/phants/maces soon or rather concentrate on getting cuirassiers faster and fight with them? We should be able to get very close to that Lib-bulb during the 8 turn GA and after that we could start massing troops if we want. We could have one army of those cats/maces/phants and another cuirassier army later as we will need to fight multiple fronts at some point anyway.

Some micro-options:

- Is NE in NK ok?
- Should I take engineer off in NK to get better odds for GSci there and give more room for other cities to generate next GPs during the GA?

I'll make a plan for getting up to Music later, could hand the save over to Htadus at that point.

Here's the plan:

NK: keep building NE, switch engy -> glh mine (from Boston)
Boston: phant => cat/phant for Harappan depending on how it goes with Asoka
Philly: settler => LH
Atlanta: galley => LH, take fish from Chicago
Seattle: LH => barracks

- Send settler + missionary near Philly to forest with troops.
- Trade for map + gold.
- Switch research to Music and 100% science.
- Do nothing with GE.
- Check promos for our units in the forest in case of Asoka attacking (not likely to happen, though).
- For Harappan: sword built from Boston, phant coming from Boston, cat/phant from Boston/Wash depending on situation and need of units at copper site.
