SGOTM 16 - U'nu'sual S'us'pec'ts

Yes, no begging until Alpha (or Currency).

Gift fish AND Clams. This will get us to +1 resources in 13 turns not that long after Alpha, it might be the +1 we need to beg. 25 turns/2 resources.

The city most needing Health bonuses, Commerce, would need to be pop 7 before it needs the Clams.

edit:
closer reading of the LeaderHeadInfos would indicate that Brennus needs 50 turns of resources to get the +1. So, if we gift him both Fish & Clams, we will get the +1 in 25 turns, not 13. We don't need the Clams for some time, and we can cancel the gift anytime after 10 turns, so I still say do it.

<iBonusTradeAttitudeDivisor>50</iBonusTradeAttitudeDivisor>
<iBonusTradeAttitudeChangeLimit>2</iBonusTradeAttitudeChangeLimit>

edit2: both Brennus and Ramesses have OR as favourite civic, so this should make relations very easy, assuming that no wars get in the way before we all start loving each other.

Graphs are getting interesting, there seems to be a great convergence in the Score graph, and the Power graph.

The Culture graph on the other hand, shows we are well behind PR & X-team.
All 3 teams have posted a save ~t82. PR & X-team both have about 800 Culture, we have 550.
This in itself doesn't mean anything, but in order to kill some time, I will speculate:

- they Oracled CoL, founded Confused.
- they founded Hindu or Buddhism
- they got a Buddhism/Hindu spread from Brennus
- they built early libs
- they were more aggressive with expansion (creative trait)
- combination of all/any of the above.

What a fantastic game, eh, trystero? If you're a baseball fan we'll see your boys in a few days!

I am very pumped, quite sober and wide awake (my heart is still pounding) so I'm going to start playing now! Let's hope we pop copper.

Yes, oh yes.

edit: and did the cardinals win??

edit: and is that the Arizona Cardinals (who I assumed you meant), or the St Louis Cardinals (which I suspect it now is, as you seem to love baseball)

Everyone knows Cricket is a far superior way to watch 3 hours of men hitting balls. OK, I won't mention the pure 5 day version that Aussies love!!! and yes, its an acquired taste.

I'm thinking wait, since we've got a lot of time sensitive stuff to get done and Brennus may demand it. It spread to Clams (no surprise there)

ALSO ON TURN 92: CONFUCIANISM FOUND IN MEMPHIS

AWESOME!!!!!! 2 religions on our continent, and Brennus will HATE Ramesses. :woohoo:

edit: Wait for Alpha, or a demand!

Yay! Religion is good!

I live in SF, but I am a lifelong Dodgers fan (I grew up in LA). My son is a HUGE Giants fan. He is really excited.

The cardinals did win. In one of the most exciting comebacks in NL post season history.

Winning from behind is the best way to win. :goodjob:

My favorite win ever was with my Rugby Union team, the Brumbies win after the siren.

(15 teams from Oz, NZ and South Africa play in the Super15)

I've actually watched a few Twenty20 matches, but they are hard to find on the TV here. I've never seen a Rugby match.

Same for baseball here. If you don't have cable, forget it. (only about 10-15% have it in Oz)

George W Bush played Rugby for Yale.

Its the root game that NFL used to be, before about 1000 rule changes over a 100 year period.

Hey, I watch it, while drinking beer.

I am far too big a nerd to actually play it!
