Green from me. Sorry been pretty busy and RL is getting the best of me at the moment so can't do any nit picking (or much at least!
)
-Cottage being worked by production; work an engineer instead and let commerce work the cottage. Commerce is working an unimproved floodplain at the moment.
-Trades: Give MC and Currency for Monarchy and gold. Also open borders with Rams. Even with a -1 for you refused to stop trading, we should be able to get him to friendly fairly easily. Giving Rams MC will also give him trade bait for peace.
-Humbaba: Perhaps he is just an invisible unit that is locked in. A trick maybe by the map maker to make us want to rip our hair out due to frustration after not finding him. (Those units that are invisible to most units perhaps?) Nuking this city to oblivion is clearly the way forward. I have a feeling the city will have a bomb shelter as well
Meaning it'll take roughly 6 nukes/tacticals to do the job!
-Moai: Zhou is clearly the better city. 2 fish screams for 5 specialists. Looking at the map now, this game would have been pretty good if we went down the Mids route as well
Although it's good we didn't because of the hammer burden.

re Taoism
-Production: Tireme-Harbour.
-Tech path, no longer a rush for CoL anymore
-Wonders: We should really try to build MoM in production as soon as calendar is available.
-General game plan: This may sound crazy, but what if we went on an early rampage after Astro and we vassaled 2-3 AI's on the other continent pretty quickly and set them to research what we want? Ie, we could perhaps force them to research a tech so they advance to the next era to get the research multipliers. We could get 3 techs of our choice for 1 (and one or two other techs of choice from the free AI)!! I think that would be much much more powerful than tech trading AND if we ran Merc, with Vassals, we would still get the foreign TR's.
Vassals would be great, It will mean that we won't be too far from a domination or conquest one of our VC's right from the bat and then diplomatic will also be in hand.
Also, Merc has great synergy with SoL as well which we should build. If we vassal, we can prevent the AI from researching democracy so we would not need to switch over to Emancipation.
Lots of benefits from the get go! Only one disadvantage that I can note which is we would have some trouble with AIs that go towards cultural VC but we can fix that by making sure to not vassal those AI.
