SGOTM 17 - Fifth Element

Question 1.
We can steal drama in 7 turns from Khmer. Is this higher priority then trying to get our spy to Japan? We could steal drama cheaper from the Chinese but I'm against that since it is slower and more chances to get caught going there.
Our highest priority is to try to arrive in Japan. Better build 2 more spies for any future use. Unfortunatelyu they do not get experience, as in some mod.

We could steal engineering for 921 EP from China or tech it for 1462 beakers. With beaker discount it is probably cheaper to tech but we already have 200 ep in China.

Question 2.
There is someone else that Khmer and Chinese have met, otherwise they would be willing to trade drama. Shall our chariot wait at the Japanese border and hope we meet them or map out the rest of Chinese territory?
Not clear to me: are you affirming that S and Q have met a 4th AI we don't? How can this be a reason to not trade Drama?
About your question, i agree with Shaan: finish to map China.

Okay with Khmer stealing. I would say they are equally important, so I would try and make 1 or 2 more spies. Maybe Mainz could 2-whip a spy instead of catapult? When I proposed axe I forgot that it alreqady has Forge. But spy with 1 hammer in it could be 2-whipped for 36(?) overflow hammers. Goldfoot could whip a spy too, with OF into granary.

BTW do we meet a civ by getting a spy to their territory? I'm not sure about this.
I am. You can meet an AI with a spy, a GSpy or a privateer.

The PPP with Shaan suggestions seems good to me.

Just this: do not build melee, they are already obsolete. Build some HA, they're great against siege and fast units are always useful. And build cats. Trebs are expensive, they can't be wasted on the first attack.

Then: are the crab city and the city north cancelled or you just forgot them?

I have some doubt for the city north, but crab can be a good city with the GLH.

Yes, There is one more AI out there that have Feudalism and does not have drama otherwise Qin and Suryavarman would trade us drama. It could be that I'm wrong but I do not think I am. Only other reason I can think would be if drama unlocked a very strong unit which it does not.

Can we whip the library in Florence for 2? We need that fish.

Can we have an HA in Hades ASAP? Then move the GG to be ferried to Goldfoot, but not before have taken the worker surely around Hammer. Unless the HA can arrive before we take the city.

Move the chariot N to confirm that 2N are mountains, then off to map China.

Keep the axe in Hammer for defence. Keep a good garrison in that city.

I know that the AI - but Mansa - won't trade a monopoly tech, but not the 3 AI mechanic. They can simply not like us enough. It unlocks the Globe which is a powerful NW. I can see the reason for Theo, which unlocks 2 WW and a war civic.

BTW, did you noticed there aren't dyes in all the known map?

Then, Qin can be bribed into war with both Toku and Khmer. Sury does not like us enough.

They like us enough to trade us techs and they do not have monopoly. We can see they are willing to trade feudalism but not drama. Tokugawa has neither. I will do some research but I'm certain there is a fourth AI there with feudalism.

If we count the national theatre as a wonder Qin would trade drama to us if 42% of the other know players know drama. If there is only Tokugawa and Suryavarmna it would be 50% so he must have met one more AI. Suryavarman would trade it to us if 70% of the others knew it so I can't tell whether he has met the other AI or not.

I like Shaandores changes to my builds. I was in some kind of building craze there.

So you can go, once we decide what to do with the 2 planned cities.

I've seen a 3rd between Djenne and Niani, but i do not think it's worth.

I think every city are worth it. they are so cheap.

SO if Shaan and UT agree and even if not, build 2 settlers. Crabs first. And 2 archers before it's too late.

archers are to late but we can still build chariots. They are just 5 hammers more.

Not yet, or not with the save you posted. Or have you already traded for Feud?

Archers can be built in 2 turns in many cities. Do it.

And don't forget a barracks in Vienna, it's too close to the front to not have it.

Seems like it is only Vienna that can two turn build a archer.

Hades anvil and Gao could whip one settler each.

Victorius warriors win first, then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win

Thanks for your concern. Those who are about to win we salute you!

Wuuuuu... I didn't realize I was talking to Sun Tzu!

I'd prefer to use Anvil whips for something else, like structures. There's also the problem to ferry it, which means some wasted turn.
But if you feel comfortable, do it.

Can we build some missionary to spread the true faith somewhere? It's 1:) + 25% for buildings...

Now, let's follow Swede's suggetion ;)

And it's without barracks... OK forget it, chariots are fine.

I do not see why we would care if our MP has 3 xp or not. I will start playing this soon now unless someone doe snot want me to. After all it is only 3 turns before I do the trades and we should reassess the situation.
