I'd take at least a cease fire now with Louis so we can heal up and get troops in position. We won't be able to take any cities for the next few turns. We already have 6 unhappy from ww.

Besides the XP for the frigate, I do wonder however if continuing the fights with Louis and Mao makes much sense. Shouldn't we rather land all our current army in Mali, but in the east? Sailing west from France that is? His core is to the east so a good point to strike him. Of course new troops from our east to his west meanwhile. I think I'd rather use our muscle on Mansa now then on Mao.

Mmm difference of opinion here. My initial feeling was peace with Mao/Louis so perhaps will go with that and attack Mansa shortly...

So peace with Mao and ceasefire with Louis. trade banking from Liz. Kill Wil..

Ok peace with Mao for his gold and cease fire with Louis. Traded for banking and got Cathie to friendly by selling paper cheap. If we want can get her as an ally against AI.

Rotterdam is about to fall. Keep or raze. With the English culture I would raze it. Building quite a few defensive units as we need some better protectors in places and we can send them to France etc to release better attacking units.

Resources.

Uranium 1 though there is plenty around. Chinese have a bit.

Oil we'll fall well short so looks like plastic would be required for offshore platforms.

So troops looks best atm.

Tech.. I'm leaning towards mil trad for cuirassiers/cavalry. From what I can see would let us conquer a lot quicker then concentrate on tech once we have the world. If it wasn't for the Summer Palace for Isabella I would suggest the other way round.

Plans for Mansa. I would like the troops in France to go straight for his capital and use galleons to move around a bit. Then other troops from mainland to attack his Western lands. I'll look to play a few more turns in a couple of hours up to being ready for attacking Mansa.

So any thoughts welcome..

Cavs are a waste imo. This map doesn't need the movement and it is off our tech path.

Ok no mil trad... unless we can trade for it...

. Unable to get constitution from Mansa atm but will sell him PP and should be able to use Sci Meth to get it. Will do rep parts next though as we get a boost to our mills and can get some lumber mills built.

Will bank some cash after that till we decide where we want to go. Not having economics is being a bit of a pain..

Ok for the few turns I played I teched RP. Traded Sci Meth + gold for constitution and set up for attacking Mansa. Put currently on Steam Power.

Now this might be a blessing in disguise.. Cordoba is built on desert and there is nothing in the rules to say we can't gift it back to her.. Just need to be at +3 relations so that means we don't need to attack Mansa atm. Now she has landed 4 cats by Lyons but there is 6 galleys there as well. I think they are probably empty but we will find out soon anyway. Now to get troops there quickly + kill her galleys with the gg frigate ideally we declare on Louis again. At least that means we can kill him off and then go for Mao rather than Mansa. At least that's my thinking.

So I propose take Cordoba and use that as the Summer Palace. Kill off Louis we have the troops ready on galleons.

Then on to Mao. Finally take on Mansa to go over the domination limit hoping to get a few techs from him along the way.

Well one screenie having trouble with photo bucket.

Isabella's Summer Palace. I pm'd BSPollux and he confirmed we can use Cordoba for Isabella;s Summer Palace. So need walls - castle - odeon - grocer. We should whip them imho then get her to +3 so we can win her heart. Of course we are still at war which doesn't help.. :lol:

We have enough GP's for another Golden Age but I think we need to wait for a while on this. We are suffering war weariness so would be a waste as its only going to get worse. Also have a GG if we go with the troops for Cathie's heart.

So civics this turn we should swap caste for slavery (can also whip away those nasty French

). The rest I would keep the same.

Tech. I've set it for railroad but basically were stuck for the moment without economics. Also don't tech rifling as that will obsolete walls and hence no castle. Just in case..

Lots of troops to play around with for the next player. I guess if McArine isn't available till later in the week either Ronnie1 or namliaM would be up.

Some thoughts...

Remember to upload the save before and after gifting the super frigate to Elizabeth. I would send it with another frigate for safety.

Troops/war..

I would take Madrid and Barcelona before taking peace with Isabella. Then we can use those troops for Mao.

Troops attacking France.. There are a few on the islands so they can be moved. Also some defender units just South of Cherbourg which can be used. Ideally we want to kill off Louis asap to relieve the war weariness. After Louis/Isabella we should be able to attack Mao on 2 or 3 fronts so he won't last long. Especially if we use galleons to move troops.

Civics.. I would keep everything the same but switch to slavery instead of Caste. Be sure to check cities for unhappies and use specialists/the whip to slow growth into unhappiness.

City builds.. Not sure we want anything really other than wealth/research and troops. Nothing is really going to have much effect on the game now.

Tech avoid Economics and rifling. Personally I would probably bank cash atm until the French are dead.

So PPP:

Get Elizabeth sailing towards Hastings, with another frigate as escort. Save upload before and after gifting.

Take Madrid and Barcelona, prepare Cordoba as summer residense. Start whipping when available.

Louis has 11 units left. We have twice that on his mainland. That should suffice. I don't know about keeping his cities, we could raze it all, and free the units for other purposes. I don't think any of them are great, and they'll get hit by Chinese culture.
After that, total war with Mansa. Start the war when the Grenoble stack are ready, or wait untill all fronts are ready?

Civics: Back to slavery, what about Police State or US, instead of Representation? are we running that many specialists to get the advantage of it?

Tech: Avoid Economics and Rifling. Heading for Combustion atm. Bank cash untill Louis is gone, to relieve WW.

Cities: Mainly weath and units. Only pick others stuff, if there's a serious benefit to it.

Stop conditions: 5 turns have passed, something unexpected happens.

I'm planning to play tomorrow or wednesday evening.

Why Mansa instead of Mao? If we are going for a domination victory Mao has more land available plus we should get some techs from Mansa. certainly not gettting anything from Mao.

Civics. Rep is our best option for teching. Nothing else will come near it imho. Hence my mentioning city mm. Run as many specs as possible in unhappy cities. Obviously not off good tiles though..

. Probably worth whipping unhappy citizens into libraries in cities which don't have them. Plus we can then run a couple of scientists.

After gifting the frigate we should also make short work of Liz, I would say.

Maybe go nationhood? Much cheaper civic, units from draft and happy from barracks. Might be better than bureau by now.

If we go for dom, don't raze French cities.
