SGOTM 23 - Turbo Ants

Wow. Sorry I asked. I knew this was a complicated turnset but your use of Excel probably isn't helping matters. :mischief::p

I don't even know where to begin. I know that there is so much more outside of this spreadsheet that you're tying to track so it's not possible to look at the GPP plan in isolation. However, I do think we need to get it into a format that others can use so that we hire the right number AND type of specialist in each city so that we get what we want when we need it. I'll take a crack at working on this over the next day or so.

Or, you could just play until all relevant GPs are born and then only you need to understand the GPP plan. :goodjob:
My chart above shows which types of GPs in which city. WT is on top of that from the tech perspective. My charts are invaluable, to me. But as you say, they don't really work in isolation. I think I'm on top of the whole thing, but slowly working through it to a complete plan. I plan to play 10 turns and then turn over a user-friendly plan to the next player. :)

I've been asking necessary question along the way and you folks have been very helpful answering quickly. Ijust hope you have the patience to endure a few more days. I'm getting close and so far, I think we're getting everything we want.

I'm impressed that you're able to pull all of these competing needs together into a single cohesive plan. Not an easy task!

Note that PR has a score of +70 compared to where we are on the same turn (or same score two turns sooner). Score isn't the only indicator but they may have a slight head start in warring. Let's hope that our end game is tighter than theirs. Every. Turn. Counts.

To be honest, I've used a similar spreadsheet this SG. Not quite so expansive as LC's one, but it's really easy to get messy when you copy+paste three cities for three different variants...
Especially on my small X smaller resolution laptop monitor

Anyone count our population for the bulbs? Do we even care?
I think our newest plans eliminated the critical min population that we would have needed to 2-bulb RP and 5-bulb RR. For a change, we have one less thing to worry about, right? We just get what we get from the bulbs without really needing to take note.

Rusten is a very strong player. Had me concerned as soon as he joined up.

I've been trusting you on that aspect.

If SQ finishes the galley on T103 with 19h OF, then completes a chop on T104 while building wealth, does the full 19h + 30h go into MoM on T105?

The PPP is taking shape. Too soon for you to study carefully, but if your curious and bored you can watch along. :) I'm working on a worker-turn mini-sheet I'll paste in there. Hopefully done tomorrow.

I don't know if you're stressing about happiness or if we're fine there, but you can probably count on some calendar resource trades. BSP was very deliberate to give out pairs of most things.

Studied it some a whiel back. I think we're okay even without the trades, except maybe in Fredburg or other cities with lots of whip unhappiness.

Okay, folks and folkesses, please have a looksee at the PPP.

Are we going to lose any resource trades when we DoW Darius (other than Darius')?

I might be able to look at it, but for the most part, I'm on vacation...out of the country...for the next 10 days.
I feel like we planned about as hard as we could hope. If you think you're ready, don't wait for me.

From a 10,000 foot view, it looks good to me. We've You've been working on this plan with input from us for quite a while. I'm sure it's bullet proof. Green light from me.

I'm not sure I see any particularly good opportunities to prebuild knights, so green light from me. :)

Thoughts on whether we should build a settler for Spice Island? Churchill will eventually give us 3 offshore cities. Only Stalin has a fourth. We could have a galley there in a dozen turns or so.

I don't see an offshore Russian city. St. Pete is a 3 commerce trade route because it's big.

I'm a bit dubious about building that city. I can see the benefit, but I don't think the timescales work out to justify what seems like quite a painful build to squeeze in. We'll get the Churchill cities on around the same timescale, and will still have enough foreign trade routes from Stalin, Mao etc for quite a while.

I don't think spice island is worth it if you're talking about founding it close to T115. The happy is not needed, so it's only for the trade rt bonus and the city itself would be profitable.

I briefly thought about sending the goldcity settler there, but we don't have a boat and probably no good way to get another settler for goldcity.

Right. The question is, do we need it for the economic bonus, starting ~T115? Too little, too late?
