Anyway, great game guys! Beautifully planned and executed.

I should fit right in with your play styles (mostly builder, reserved warmaker, ultra-obsessive micromanager ).

I seriously don't see why you wouldn't end up on this team. Not that many players list themselves for PTW and we're missing 2. Add to that the fact that the only other PTW team, Peanut, has a new recruit already.
The only other reason for not placing you with us would be that our team would be considered too strong. Comparing with e.g. Wacken, that's not likely to happen.

I haven't been able to work on the spoiler as planned. My parents are visiting from California so I've been pretty busy with family stuff.

Some administrative stuff, I know I will be gone for five days around Thanksgiving and eight days around Christmas. If I'm lucky I'll be able to check in occationally but I won't be able to Civ and I wouldn't count on me for discussion either. I hope the six person roster can compensate for that. Let me know if that's a problem and I'll have AlanH pull my name.

I don't think that's a problem. Just post the periods you'll be away when we get close to them .
I suspect many of us will be away around Xmas, and I didn't really expect to see any of our American team members around ThxG .

BTW, I sincerely apologize for my ethnocentrism. I try to remember that I'm posting to an international website but occationally forget that my holidays are not worldwide events.

Our Thanksgiving is on Nov 24th this year (last Thursday of November). I am probably travelling on Nov 22nd and returning Nov 28th.

I have just scanned the first two pages on this thread and have been impressed with the analysis. I will try to read this thread from start to finish in the next day or so.

Now, this is my first SGOTM, first GOTM and third SG. I hope I do not hold you back. But I plan to learn a lot!

Just figured I'd inform everyone that I will be in the Carribean on Dec. 4th until Dec. 11th. My wife and I are taking another cruise and I won't be able to play Civ. Nor in truth want too! The ship does have internet access so I might be able to check up on things every few days.

For Thanksgiving I believe I'll be gone from the 23rd until 27th. Family coming in from out of state.

No idea about Christmas yet. Still waiting for my wife to inform me what we're doing.

That's one of our stops actually. That and Grand Cayman, Costa Maya, and Cozumel (possibly). Cozumel is still a maybe according to Carnival's website.
