i'm at work so can't check the save to see where the resources are to the north.
Build site1 to pump some workers.
Would it be worthwhile, in the city plan, swapping site6 and site2 in the build order? site6 has access to 2 BG's immediately and could start on some military, is my only justification. (site 2 might have a BG NW of it, i can't tell from the screenies)
All i can think of for now. will put some more thought into it when i get time.

edit: upon looking further i've decided one of the site6 BG's is in use by washington, ignore me. :crazyeye:

I got home much too late last night to play and I'm already tired tonight. I've put in over 60 hours at work since last thursday. So if you want to swap me out for the next spot this go around, that would be great. I don't want to hold it up for me to try to play tomorrow. I can easily play this weekend without any trouble and the long nights at work should start slowing down next week.

Besides we're having a nasty lightning storm and I'm about to unplug the computer.

i'm back to thinking we should switch site6 and site2 in the build order. The only BG in range of site2 is in use by washington. site6 has one of it's own. site1 is the best first settle for some workers but I vote for site6 after that.

I agree that site6 should be our 3rd town and produce military. We can have 2 BGs on that site, and still have a 4-turner with some MMing on growth in Washington.
 
Does site 6 get 2 BG's without using the one within Washington's radius? :confused: Doesn't look like it to me until it expands, or site 2 is built. I have no problem with doing it that way, just thought I would point out that both sites have to share BG's with Washington until they are either built or expand their border.

Site 3 has a BG and 2 Forest tiles it can use without sharing with Washington and it has the advantage of blocking Barbs from that camp to the southeast. A Rax, a couple of Spears and a worker also gets us some Gems. :D

When do you think we should head a settler up to the dyes? :crazyeye:

Thanks a lot! This is a "got it"! :banana: I'll play in a few hours (today afternoon for me) and I'm still open for suggestions.

I'd even propose to build site6 as our 2nd City and get the military site running before the worker pump. We're already challenging our luck with working fp, so we might do better with not also challenging our rng luck with barb attacks. :p Moreover, as both lux are difficult to reach from our current state, we could use a 2nd warrior in our capital to reduce lux costs.

Worker2 is paving road, but I see no speed advantage towards site1 because of the river. We can reach either site1 and site6 in three turns. Comments please. :)

I'd like to know where the scout is going to? I'd move him south along the western coast to take a glimpse across the wet stuff :eek: .

Yes, site 3 may be better due to its proximity to the barb camp, but we need military escort if we build there and we haven't got too much of that yet...

If we send the first settler to site 1 as planned, it can't produce a worker immediately. We *could* build a warrior first and use him to escort the second settler to site 3.

I think we should consider sending the third settler for the dyes? :hmm:
