Hi,
I'm pretty sure this is an issue the team is aware of and I'm faintly afraid it's an unfixable one, but I'll report it anyway.
Two player team vs AI today. Me Luchuirp, my friend Ljosafar. We attacked an AI city, he brought a bunch of mages, me golems and adepts for repairing. At some point, he had the city defenders very much burnt half to death and I attacked with barnaxus. I had a 94.7% chance and of course I lost. Some hunter got barnaxus's shards. So my friend kept firebombing the city when one of his fireballs killed the hunter.
No more Barnaxus for me.
Of course the fireball couldn't retain the shards, so they were removed from the game.
I don't know how much work this would be, but if you could just give the shards to the mage who cast the fireball? Otherwise, if that'd be easier, how about if the shards magically disappear like this, you enable Barnaxus for building again; fresh without any xp etc.
