I just lost the following game against a guy who was only ~100 points higher than me before the game.
I thought that this was a game I could have won. Guess I blundered big somewhere again!

Well 15 Be6 simply gifted him your bishop, you could have retreated to b3. Three moves later you give away your second bishop which wasn't even threatened.
OTOH, the opening seemed solid

At least that is something I can be thankful for!
I'm not going to make any moves today, as I've already been up for 21 hours as of posting this reply, and I won't be able to go to bed until 9 pm tonight, for a grand total of 35 hours total up between sleeps.

I haven't had the energy to post the games from my second week at the Swedish chapionships but maybe I'll do that later. Frankly, I'm embarresed I played so badly but I was a little fortunate and managed to win the group with 5/7 (3 wins and rest draws). So I'll be playing in class II next time.

That is usually very wise. Whenever I make moves (or play blitz) when I am very tired I usually regret it.At least that is something I can be thankful for!

My first time playing the Dutch Defense. I have no real idea of what I'm doing but I think it's working out well so far. (game still in progress)

I don't use any particular opening, and judge moves one at a time. I think it helps to be a bit flexible, so that I can respond if I see an opening or a blunder. It may not be wise, but at least it's better than nothing IMHO.

It is always good to be flexible, if you play 100% by rote you may miss a brilliancy!
Just played probably one of my best games on chess.com. Probably made plenty of inaccuracies but overall I was pleased with the game. It suited my style as an "anti-gambiteer" (I like to take material & run, when I play gambits myself I often run into trouble though there are some I like to play). I missed my opponent's idea behind 21. ... Ne5 (trading two pawns for a piece) but it worked out ok for me anyway. I love having a queenside mass of pawns like in this game. Props to DaveShack for a hard fight. The battle for 2nd place in WhiteEagle's tournament depends on our 2nd match (unless I pull off a miracle & manage a draw with Colin here. I don't expect to hold onto my spot over 2200 long, I have three probable losses pending in the next few weeks.
Comments welcome on the game (not the one vs. col still in motion)!
This game is not mine to share but our team's (mostly Riffraff, myself & nicetoall), I felt we were holding it together fairly well as was looking forward to an exciting endgame but their team timed out.

I wasn't really trying to play a gambit, it was just where the book led. At some point I thought "that wasn't such a good idea, I hate gambits".
I'm going to run this through my engine and the chess.com engine and see how the analysis compares. Here's what mine said, at 45 seconds/move.

Thanks Dave. I'll check out where your analysis engine said mistakes were made (which one do you use? oh, nm, Toga II, I hadn't heard of it before). I rarely even use chess.com's analysis engine anymore. It missed a great tactical resource I had in one game (giving the position at +4.2 whereas Panzar's chessmaster engine gave it +10.9 or something).
To share a new one, I beat chess.com's founded Erik in a game of Chess960. Fun, tactical game, I never even got around to castling.
