Hi,

I'm new here and would like to know, if the cheat menu would also be available in other game versions. My game says "475.02G" on startup, "G" may stand for a german version. The key combinations shift-56 shift1-9 don't work. Are there any other known key combinations or was the cheat menu disabled after version 475.01? The cheat radomize leaders (alt-r) does work in my game version.

I think any patch of the original Civ has those keys disabled. That is a strange version number. The English language version numbers are 474.01 - 474.05.

If you want to view the map, consider trying Dack's terraform program. I hope it's compatible with your Civ.

The TerraForm program is a good idea, thank you. My version is indeed a german version, perhaps that's what the "G" stands for. I can Play savegame-files from english versions and vice versa with a standard english version, where the cheats do work. So the TerraForm program should be working, too. Maybe I should just begin playing the english version instead. But I'm so used to my dear old german version ...

I've got version 475.01 and can not get the shift-56 or shift 1-9 to work. Oh well, maybe I'm not doing something right.

i have the same version and don't know how to get it to work or even what shift-56 even is...

anyone help us out please?

I have versions 1 and 4. In version 1, shift 5-6 works, I have attached two screenshots for you so you can see what it looks like. You can see the entire map and even click in enemy cities. It's actually quite fun since you can see all enemy movements when you end your turn. :)

You hold shift and then press 5 and then 6, and then click anywhere for the full map to show.

It seems like you're doing some kind of primitive espionage that's similar to the espionage in current versions of civilization.
