Shock & Awe in Final Frontier : George Bush?

Ah. I knew it was a joke like Al Gore, but that looks like Bush. haha. Shock and Awe really didnt work in Iraq, now, did it? It did work in the first Gulf War though.

Actually Shock and Awe worked pretty well in Iraq, there just wasn't an effective follow-up.

The Iraqi war was, technically, the shortest war ever waged in the history of the U.S. From when our marines landed in Kuwait to when they set foot in Baghdad was around 48 hours. The people we are fighting right now are affiliated with a terrorist organization that is not recognized as a nation and, thus, we are not at war with them.

It doesn't make sense to me, either.

Err...yeah lets all just keep believing that.

The legion of thousands of Fedayeen Saddam irregulars who numbered 30,000 plus prior to the war have totally just sat down and started farming since the invasion.

Thats why we get to divert so much money from anti-terrorism organizations.

Well ,if you discard the 12 years of previous bombardements and blockade, yes, the 2003 invasion of Iraq was fast :sarcasm:

And you can't consider the 2003 invasion of Iraq as a war: last time that USA declared war to somebody ( with all the required pro formae ) was in 7 of december of 1941... after that USA never had been in war with anybody, just making military operations in other countries

To be fair, USA didnt get to Alt-Click japan in 1941, as Japan beat them to it.

Dear All:

Yes, the gentleman in the Shock and Awe icon is definitely Donald Rumsfeld. Even in a picture that small, I do recognize him.

Sincerely yours always,

Indy.

Acutally Iraq was the shortest war in history. I may be worng as there was a war between Britain and an African tribe in 1800's 1 hour and 45 minutes is how long it lasted:confused:

Britian and Zanzibar IIRC

The Anglo-Zanzibar War was fought between the United Kingdom and Zanzibar on 27 August 1896. With a duration of only 38 minutes, it holds the record of being the shortest war in recorded history
