It depends what's more important to you, the science/happiness or the production. I usually purchase repairs as they are so cheap especially on rural tiles.

Volcanos!!!! That’s what should unlock Hawaii! Sorry just occurred to me.

I play at medium also, and only early game if gold is collapsing has repair been anything more than a few clicks.

As it is a CS bonus isn't it ageless so even with active disaster this era unlikely to be affected in future eras?

Beyond that I tend to settle deliberately near volcanoes as the yield bonuses can be immense compared to a few gold for repairs.

I did get the auto repair mod though so I don't have to actually personally take the time to repair it all the time.

The twist (I didn't know) is that the Step Pyramid is quite expensive to repair - about 100 Gold each time - so I ended up using production to repair more than usual. But these are juicy tiles, yes (especially on Epic pace, can't imagine them on Marathon).

Just the obligatory Sukritact mod , he added that fantastic yield breakdown a few days ago (it's not perfect yet, so still helps to know the rules - the Pyramid does not build over the mine)

Might as well, although I usually end up not bothering to repair tiles after a while. I'll be very happy when they add a 'repair all' button (or better yet, an auto-repair option)

There is an auto repair mod which does it for you.
