Should I get the expansions with RTW?

Even WRE isn't that unmanageable in BI, dude. Nothing like the same kind of pain you experience in some of the mods out there. Speaking as a WRE fanatic here, too. Hell, BI actually makes it easier to run the empire than it was in OTL cause you don't have to worry about balancing the Gallic and Italian aristocracies!

Huns are worse for campaign after you win as them. Revolts everywhere, even if the cities are razed and there are low taxes...

I have both of them, because I got Total War: Eras back before M:TW 2 came out.

Though that was my first experience with RTW, so I have no idea what the differences were other than more campaigns to play.

I enjoyed the expansion campaigns at least, they were worth it.
