Since Marseilles will be working the corn and the hill, is it any use keeping the barb city without having the Colossus or should I raze it?
I presume it is worth to keep it if I do have the Colossus?
Difficulty is Emperor if that is of any importance.
And I am not financial.

I wouldn't keep.

Some suggestions regarding city placement:
  • Lyons 1N on the stone. +2:health:, +1:hammers:, no need to waste worker turns on quarry which is a weak tile anyway. Much much rather work an extra cottage.
  • Marseilles 2W. Coastal tiles are weak and not worth grabbing. Extra shared river tiles are a lot better. No need to build a lighthouse, even if ORG. Plains hill mine is not worth working.
  • Rheims 1N. Extra:hammers:, extra green river cottage.

Thanks for your answer. It sure was fast...but I was too impatient to play on  so I ended up keeping barb-Numidian hoping to get the Colossus. I actually lost the race to the Colossus, but it seems to me this was a city worth keeping after all. It began making a meager profit almost instantly and with a granary/lighthouse/courthouse and producing wealth for the rest of the game it seems it was only positive. Unless it increased the city count and thus increased global maintenance costs?

Lyons: Koreas borders were already too close so I don't think I would have been able to get those Northern tiles anyway.
Marseilles: Actually, that was the position I was going for but when I arrived the game bluecircled the coast and I fell for the suggestion. :)
Rheims: My bad. The screenshot does not show an ocean fish 2S of Rheims which Iobviously had to grab. Rheims ended up being a Moai-powerhouse thanks to the fish.

The game ended well with the entire continent vassaled at 1580 AD (which for me is a good date ).

Yes, this is the issue. If you have an autosave you can check. It also depends a bit on if you are planning to expand to more cities soon (via war or peacefully).

Lyons: extra tiles aren't the point, it's just getting rid of the stone tile while netting +1:hammers: to the city center and fresh water.
Marseilles:
Rheims: OK. I also assume you are CRE so it makes sense to grab all in one city. Without CRE I'd probably divide it to two cities, seafood to the 1st ring.
