Should there be a level between Noble and Prince ?

One of my weaknesses is my dependence upon the Oracle . I mean I can still do good without it but its a huge boost , especially for that treasured CoL .
Are chances still good for getting Oracle on monarch ?

Another thing , I can't explain why but I have a fixation with Rameses II . I don't really play with him at all but his traits seem like an awesome combo and his early UU and UB are something to be reckoned with .

Since I rarely play a spiritual or ind civ , how would you recommend proceeding with Rameses ? Monk EconomY ? Tips , pointers ?

My cousin is an EQ junkie but I think I'm starting to convert him over to civ . I showed him how civ4/bts plays and he really likes it . He is going to go buy it this week and I suggested we play a MP game with just he and I vs the AIs . Its cool because we can talk over headset instead of typing .
He's asking me whats a good civ to start with . I figured in a MP with he and I it would be at a lower difficulty and I'd let him fight the AI while I just sit in the background as security while he tries different methods out till he finds one he can get comfortable with .

I want to recommend a good begginer civ , immediatly I thought of spiritual because its a good trait to ' experiment' with without worrying about anarchy . Ramases might be nice since he's ind too but then Im not sure its good to get him addicted to wonders to become a good player .

Perhaps the Romans ?

Any suggestions ?

Oh by the way , I probably would have taken longer in my game because of ZY ( my friend that I backstabbed) , but I build a lot of calvary while warring with other civs as ' civil defense' They can get around quickly and the enemies still only had knights . ZY had a lot of pikemen and began training Oromos . The thing about my calvary was that they were WEST POINT calvary , most of them came out of my west point city , a high production city with Heroic Epic to boot . So they had three promotions .
I found ZY , like other AIs had mostly knights ( don't ask me way) but they drop like flys to calvary especially when you can go - combat II - Formation - right when you create them .

Thats what sped up the game I think .
