can someone whose played this map a lot give a more detailed explaination of what this map is?

Maybe also if you have screen shots that'd be cool also.

The issue I've run into is that my last 2 continent maps have literally been 2 large continents separated by water with no islands between them. Super boring stuff.

I'm trying to find the map settings that will provide a better balance of all land mass types.

From what I recall reading, shuffle is just a percent chance of producing one of the other map types, not really a "unique" map type.

I played on shuffle a lot, and usually got either a more continents type map or lots of islands.
Out of about 5 shuffle games, I had 1 that I really liked. Larger land masses with some connecting canal possible areas and some islands.

I read somewhere that fractal can produce more of a randomized landmass set, but I haven't used yet, although I am guessing that 1 shuffle map I really liked was based on a fractal. It's on my list to try next game.

Shuffle is map that selects one of all possible map types + it randomizes sea level, world age, temperature, rainfall. So you can get some really crazy maps and conditions. This is not for people who like to play predictable game, because sometimes you get crap start and world settings, and sometimes you get something you like. This is for anyone who like to play any cards that they are given.
