Shut Up and Sing

If that's all there was to it do you really think any of those companies would have gone along with it?

Also what exactly is immature about calling for a boycott? This is literally the free market in action.

I don't see anything wrong with calling for a boycott of a program where the host behaves unprofessionally.

starting boycotts because someone made fun of him is something he needs to grow out of...

The "someone" in question is a paid spokesperson. Those who pay her are therefore responsible for what she says. A boycott action is the appropriate response here.

Who's throwing a tantrum? Dictonary.com gives the following definition:

a violent demonstration of rage or frustration; a sudden burst of illtemper.

The young man showed no rage or frustration. He certainly hasn't been violent.

the reason for the boycott... reminds me of the tantrum thrown by the Bush fan club when the lead singer of the Dixie Chicks insulted him

But questioning a President during wartime is unpatriotic and enbolderns our enemies !
I think that most Republicans have selective memories of G.W.Bush, I doudbt they would remember boycotting the Dixie Chicks they barely can remember that Iraq wasnt invaded by Obama.

starting a boycott because someone insulted him is immature

edit: Bush didn't call for a boycott, this kid did.

When will businesses learn to stay away from politics? They buy ads on a bomb thrower's show only to face a backlash and when they try to extricate themselves from that mess, they get a backlash from the bomb throwers.
There shouldn't even be commercials on cable TV, let alone cable news. You pay for cable, so why do you have to watch ads? If you're giving me the programming for free, ie network (broadcast) TV, then fine... I'll watch your stupid ads... but when you're charging people hundreds per month to watch, then on top of that, you make them watch commercial after commercial trying to brainwash them into paying for something else? SMFH... NETFLIX has the right idea.
