I was wondering if the discs in this product are DVD or CD. The box shows DVD on the internet,but when I had bts and vanilla disks that weren't scratched a lot or lost, they were CD. On the cover of the Complete Edition box 2 of the 4 boxes it shows says CD. My computer's DVD drive broke and we can't find a replacement. I asked my brother to get me this for Christmas and I need to know so I can tell him for sure if I want it.

What country are you in? I'm in England and my copy is a DVD. But there may be a CD version too. And as far as I am aware the North American version includes Colonization so that might be different as well.

In the US Civ4 was released as a CD version - in Europe it was DVD. The expansions were both CD. As for the Complete edition: I bought the US version as a DVD but there maybe CD versions out there
