Size 42 City!

Thanks for all the great coments on my city. I'm trying for a bigger one in my current game.

They took that bug out in one of the early VC3 patches. Now you can't join a city if it's starving.

can't you milk a city with workers and settlers until the pop is over 100?

I find it is better to join a city that won't die off. Look at the pic post on page 2, I have a lot of cities over size 12. It would better to join one of those cities then this one.

Can you join workers or settlers to cities to get them over size 12 before you can get hospitals?

No you can not... as soon as your city reaches 12, you won't be able to join any more workers or settlers.

Okay, thanks, it's just something I've been wondering for a while, but I forgot to test it and I haven't really bothered asking until now.

Thats great, but it is still possible to have something bigger than that. You have a tile of plains wich gives u only 3 food and also if u were agricultural i think, u would have more food on your city core. After building Longevity ive had for a brief moment a 46 size city... Dont know if anyone got one bigger...

It's not size 42 but it is a city for COTM 04. I did get it to size 40 but it starved.

does anyone else think its funny that the largest a city can get and still experience WLTKD is 42?? 42?
EDIT: Ah. I see Randy must.

It's the answer to the question about life, the universe and everything.
(Knowing this unfortunately tells something about my age  )

Well as long as you don't know the question to the answer you will probably be alright. :D

Not really.I just turned 21 and I know it (unless that's approximately the age you're refering to.) To further answer shadow-walker, there is a trilogy of five books (;)) collectively known as 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' which is based on an english radio program. It is a very humorous and absurd series, as English comedy often is, and at one point there is a legend told about a computer built to answer the question of life, the universe and everything. It takes the computer 7 million years to determine that the answer is '42'. I don't want to spoil anything, but I'll just say that a fair amount of the first two or three books deals with finding the what the question is (just like Jeopardy;)).

I agree that it says absolutely nothing about your age. I've been an enthusiastic Douglas Adams fan since I was literally ten years old. I've also known people of all ages, going up into the eighties, to be devout followers of Arthur Dent, Dirk Gently, etc.

Wrong. Life is not 42. The meaning of life, however, is.

The largest one I had was size 48. It was in a game as Persia. I believe I still have a screenshot of it somewhere.
