Just wonder why not making Slaves a "resource", they could be expendable on diplomacy for example bribing AI to make peace, or also you could pay or getting payed for every Slave you buy/sell, you could also pay other AIs to make war with someone else through a number of slaves.
It should be available only to OO civs which adopt slavery civic.

- to happines if you decide to export slaves unless you are OO?
+production to the importing one and - to happiness if not OO?

Can be interesting but have to be tweakend.

Flavourwise i think it should be restricted just to OO civs, other civs wouldn't use slaves for moral reasons :) (well except AV)
Considering actual diplomacy system fallacies which don't allow exchange of resource for gold it would be interesting to use Slaves as an "exchange currency". The value for slave should be fixed. What is the more balanced value for 45 hammers in gold? 10?15?

Well, someone suggested that the hellish version of the flood plain could be called the "Shores of the Styx". The unburied dead line the Styx waiting to gain entrace to the underworld. Combining these two together, a "slaves" resource could be created on the "Shores of the Styx" when it becomes hellish, giving the OO/AV access to a slaves resource.

It is too bad that the enslaved workers captured don't maintain a "stamp" of who they were originally owned by so you could ransom then back after the war...or do a prisoner exchange...

Ah I remember there was something exactly like this in Civ3. They even changed how they looked so that you know that you have a foreign worker and a panel by the military advisor that told you whose units you've captured and who captured yours. It's possible to program such a thing as a "stamp" of who owned what unit previously, just not sure if the design team has access to that or if they even feel it's worth putting in though.
