QUESTION ONE
I recently bought a ASUS SLI capable motherboard and now am shopping for my video card. My budget is not that large (hopefully around $100) and I was wondering if it is better to buy one really good card or two okay cards. I am thinking of buying one good one, that way to upgrade all I need is to buy that card again and pop it in. Thoughts?

QUESTION TWO
Is there that much of a difference between the GeForce 6600 and the GeForce 6600 GT? Is it worth the extra $50 bucks?

QUESTION THREE
Which scenario is better, not only in preformance but cost effeciency and upgradability?

A) One GeForce 6600 GT / 128 MB DDR / PCIe (with propect of buying another at a later time) - $120
B) One GeForce 6600 / 128 MB DDR / PCIe (going with one for now, potentially purchasing another later) - $70
C) Two GeForce 6600 / 128 MB DDR / PCIe (buying two right away) - $140

Well, SLI technology is really for top-end, there is almost no point in having two slow cards instead of one fast card. The performance will be the same, but there will be cooling and power supply issues, and you definetily wont get a 100% performance increase, comparing to the single card.

6600GT has 500/1000 GPU/memory clock frequencies, 6600 has only 300/550. So 6600GT is about 1.7 times more powerful than 6600.

May I suggest the EVGA Gforce 6800 GS with 256MB RAM and has DDR3 Memory...I have seen it at $179 on internet computer sites (I don't know if I can say the name on this site) and it has a rebate to where it is only $159. It is a decent card and not too pricy for what you want
